Anxiety treatment Toronto: fees and coverage
Anxiety treatment by non-physician psychotherapists is not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), so patients pay out-of-pocket. Clients may be eligible for reimbursement of some psychotherapy fees from extended health plans, but should check ahead of time see whether their plan will cover our services.
Options for anxiety treatment in Toronto
Seeking anxiety treatment through a private psychotherapy practice can have certain advantages over other alternatives, such as attending a hospital outpatient psychiatry program. Although clients must pay for treatment at a private practice, they will generally face less of a wait time. There may also be more treatment options available through a private practice than through a hospital, including longer-term therapy which can enable clients to explore the underlying causes of their difficulties.
